Addie Mae Tincy Dodd, 92, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2011. Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Morrison Memorial Chapel in Dumas. Mr. Williard Simmons will be officiating. Interment will follow in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Tincy was born on October 6, 1918 in Francis, Oklahoma to James and Wilcie Thomas. She married Lonnie Dodd on May 20, 1946 in Wellington, Texas. He preceded her in death on May 30, 2004. Tincy had been a Dumas resident since 1954. She was very active in the community. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Tincy was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and she served as cook for the Dumas Noon Lions Club for 20 years. She also served meals at the Moore County Senior Center. One of her favorite past times was attending her greatgreat niece, Sia SanMiguels volleyball, basketball and softball games. She was her most loyal fan. Tincy will be greatly missed by all of her family and her many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie, her identical twin sister, Jimmie Lee Dodd, and one sister, Virgie Rodgers.
Tincy is survived by one daughter, Susan Benge of Dumas two grandsons, Dodd Benge and Kade Benge of Dumas one greatgrandson, Kayson Benge of Dumas two nieces, Mary Trevino of Dalhart and Rosie Jeter and husband Luther of Dumas and numerous other family members and friends.
The family suggests memorials be to the Moore County Senior Center, P. O. Box 2114, Dumas, TX 79029.
The family will be at 515 Pear in Dumas.
