Alfonso A. Allemand, 88, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2009 in Dumas. Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Services will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 6, 2009 in the chapel with Wayne Norrell, Deacon of Christ the King Catholic Church, Sunray, officiating. Burial will follow in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Alfonso A. Allemand was born March 24, 1921 in Las Vegas, New Mexico to Fred and Isabell Allemand. He was a veteran of WWII. He served in the US Air Force from 1942 to 1945 and was stationed in Guam. On November 19, 1947 he married Eleanor Vigil in Las Vegas, NM. He was a cowboy and worked for the Marshall Cator Ranch for many years. Mr. Allenmand had been a resident of Dumas and Moore County since 1956.
He was preceded in death by a brother and five sisters.
Survivors include; his wife Eleanor of the home; sons, Robert Alecke Allemand and wife, Melinda of Miami, Clark Allemand and wife, Cathy of Bakersfield, CA; daughters, Edith Larssen and husband, Carl of Newkirk, Okla; Alice Cain and husband Matt of Tulsa, Okla; sister, Clara Garcia of Espanola, NM; grandchildren, Robert, Renae, Karmella, Scott, Matthew, Eric, Stephen and Caleb; and six great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Christ the King Catholic Church, PO Box 681, Sunray, TX 79086 or to Memorial Hospice, 224 E. 2nd. St, Dumas, TX 79029.
The family will be at 1713 Lewis in Dumas.
