Alfonso Fuentes

Alfonso Fuentes, 90 of Cactus passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o'clock in the evening on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Cactus. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Victor Hugo Andrade as celebrant. Interment will follow in Walsh, CO at Walsh Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Alfonso was born on August 2, 1932 in McAllen, TX. He married Margarita Fuentes in 1954 in Shallowater, TX; she preceded him in death. He loved listening to music and western movies with Clint Eastwood. He especially enjoyed watching John Wayne movies. Above all else, his family was the most important thing; he loved family gatherings. Alfonso was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Margarita, he was preceded in death by his parents; sons: Pablo Gonzalez and Jose Antonio Fuentes; daughter: Maria De Jesus Garrison; brothers and sisters.

Alfonso is survived by his children: Dolores Galvan and family of Cactus, Geneva Gutierrez and husband Gregorio of Dumas, Mauricio Fuentes and wife Mary of Dumas, Anita Gonzalez and husband Rosalio of Amarillo, Lucio Fuentes and wife Laura of Dumas, Blanca Fuentes Wood and husband David of North Carolina, Lupe Fuentes and wife Rebecca of Wyoming, Jose Alfredo Fuentes and wife Betty of Dumas, Jose Alfonso Fuentes and wife Susana of Dumas, Rosemary De La Rosa and husband Ricky of Dumas; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.
