Alfred Wayne Wren, 59, of Dumas passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019 after a lengthy illness. Family memorial services are pending at Temple Baptist Church in Dumas. Arrangements are with Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas. Alfred was born in Amarillo, TX on August 21, 1959 to Alfred William (Doc) and Gearldine (Parish) Wren. Alfred married Marilyn Wilson in 1999 and they settled in Amarillo where he was a maintenance man for the Wonderland RV park where he lived. Alfred worked for Ken Coffey Tires for many years and loved his job. He enjoyed camping and fishing around the Canadian River and spending time with his family. He especially loved his grandchildren. Alfred was an avid Denver Broncos fan but you could also find him cheering for NASCAR and NHRA drag races. He was also an animal lover and enjoyed spending time with his pets. Alfred was a loving family man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, his uncle: Gearld Parish and his aunt: Sue Parish. Alfred is survived by his wife Marilyn of the home; sister: Kathy Adcock and husband David; sons: Joshua Wren of Ft. Worth, TX, Jeremy Wren and wife Kazia of Longview, TX, and Michael Wren and wife Elizabeth of Amarillo, TX; daughters Jamie Wren and Terrie Wren both of Dallas, TX, Kimberly Wren, of Burleson, TX, Heather Wren of Austin, TX, and Lacie Wren of Colorado Springs, CO; nieces: Amanda Barnhart and Damon of Borgrer, Tx, Brandi Long and Billy of Dumas, TX; nephews: David Adcock and Nikki of Dumas, TX, and Daniel Adcock also of Dumas, TX; 13 grandchildren and numerous cousins and other family. The family suggests memorials be made to a charity of your choice.
