Allen Lee Burnett

Allen Lee Burnett of Dumas passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. No services will be scheduled at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Allen was born on February 15, 1957 in Dumas, TX to Wilson Berry (Dub) and Katherine Beach Burnett. At the age of 10 he announced that when he grew up he wanted to be an educated hobo – and he did exactly that. An avid reader who never met a stranger, he worked every kind of odd job that there was to do. He was always willing to help anyone he could.

He was preceded in death by his brother Arthur Burnett and his sister Arlene Burnett.

Allen is survived by his sister, Alesia Burnett Grist and nieces Andrea Robinson and Jamie Wopperer.
