Allyson Grace Ford, 18 of Dumas, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2012. Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Dumas. Rev. Mark Wallis, pastor of Life Tabernacle will be officiating. Interment will follow in a family cemetery near Middlewell. There will be a family visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Allyson was born on December 28, 1993 in Amarillo, Texas to Glenn and Carrie Campbell Ford. She had been a resident of Dumas for her entire life and was Salutatorian of Channing High School in 2012. She was a member of Life Tabernacle in Dumas. Allyson was very active during her years in high school. She served as Homecoming Queen and received the Fighting Eagle Award for 2011. After high school, she attended West Texas A M University in Canyon where she was a straight A student. Allyson was a beautiful young girl with an infectious smile and outgoing personality. She was a beloved and cherished daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and cousin. Allyson touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her aunt, Trista Shipp, and uncle, Dorvel McCutchan. Allyson leaves behind her parents, Glenn and Carrie Ford of the home three sisters, Heather Ford and Andrew Leeper of Wilmore, KS, Leah Garcia and husband Landon, and Makenzie Ford, all of Dumas her grandparents, Robert and Gay Lynn Campbell of Dumas, and Bennie and Joyce Ford of Wheeler one nephew, Austin Garcia of Dumas two aunts, Kay Jameson and husband Mark of Shamrock, and Tracy Russell and husband Don of Dumas one uncle, Bobby Campbell of Nashville, TN ten cousins and many friends. The family suggests memorials be to the Angels Grace Scholarship Fund, First National Bank, P. O. Box 500, Dumas, TX 79029. In light of our familys tragedy, we encourage everyone: Never Text While Driving The family will be at 6096 FM 722 in Dumas.
