Alvaro Hernandez, 46 of Dumas, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2012. The Rosary will be said at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Morrison Memorial Chapel in Dumas. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Sts. Peter Paul Catholic Church with Father Maria Joseph Pudhota as celebrant. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Alvaro was born on December 22, 1965 in Mexico to Jose De La Luz and Mercedes Mendoza Hernandez. He was united in marriage to Maria Loya in February, 1986 in Dumas. They have shared their life together in the Dumas community for twentyfive years. Alvaro was employed as a truck driver for Cargill in Dalhart. Prior to moving to Dumas, Alvaro worked as a teacher in Mexico. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved his family deeply. He was a member of Sts. Peter Paul Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his father. Alvario leaves behind his wife, Maria of the home one son, Alvaro Hernandez Jr. of Dumas two daughters, Analilia Corral and husband Ricardo of Amarillo, and Sandra Luz and Valentin Aguinaga of Dumas his mother, Mercedes Hernandez of Mexico four brothers one sister and five grandchildren.
