Andrew Joseph Martinez

Andrew Joseph Martinez, 56 of Stratford passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10 o’clock in the morning on Friday, July 21, 2023, at First Baptist Church with Pastor Ralph Mireles, officiating. Interment will follow at Stratford Cemetery under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Andrew was born on November 13, 1966, in Guymon, OK and grew up in Stratford where he graduated from Stratford High School. He married Charlotte Faux; they were married 22 years. Andrew was a jack of all trades, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do.  Andrew was fun to be around and was always the life of the party.  He enjoyed playing pool, football and gambling.  He was an avid supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and especially the Stratford Elks.  

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Joe and Molly Lopez; uncles: Joe Lopez, Michael Lopez, Carlos Lopez; brother: Mark Martinez; aunt: Rose Lopez; nephew: Ricardo Flores.

Andrew is survived by his wife Charlotte of the home; children: Joseph Martinez and wife Rachel of Dalhart, TX, Jessica Martinez of Dalhart, TX, Akira Vacio of Canyon, TX, Matthew Morgan of Amarillo, TX, Destini Martinez of Stratford, TX; parents: Fred Armenta and Loretta Martinez of Stratford, TX; brother: Rudy Martinez and wife Amy of Dalhart, TX; sisters: Rose Mireles and husband Carlos of Stratford, TX, Teena Martinez and husband Drew Blackwell of Dumas, TX, Carla Martinez and husband Afa Tuaolo of Dumas, TX; grandchildren: Conor Martinez and Atticus Martinez.
