Ann Mitchell

Ann Mitchell, 87 of Stratford, passed away on Sunday October 9, 2022.  Graveside services are scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at the Stratford Cemetery with Pastor Michael Rinne, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.  Ms. Mitchell will be available for viewing on Tuesday from 2 o’clock until 8 o’clock in the evening at the funeral home in Stratford.  Arrangements are entrusted to Beeson Morrison Funeral Directors.

Ann was born on December 14, 1934, in Memphis, TX to Park and Opal (McKee) Bufkin.  She was united in marriage to Charles Mitchell on April 4, 1952, in Memphis, TX and the couple moved to Stratford in 1967 where they made their home and raised their children.  Ann was an excellent homemaker who enjoyed sewing, ironing and was an excellent cook who always made sure her family was fed.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stratford.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, her son Don Mitchell and her granddaughter Deena Davis.

Ann is survived by her daughter: Diane Coaly and husband Donnie of Stratford, TX; grandchildren: Tami Penrod, husband Randy and their children, Riley and Mason of Yukon, OK, Danny Davis of Stratford, TX and Angela Wopperer and her children Charles Michael and Dakota Marie.
