Ann Purcell, 91 of Dumas, passed away on Thursday, December 22th, 2016. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, December 27th, 2016 at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Jay McGaughy, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will follow in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 o'clock in the evening on Monday, December 26th at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Ann was born November 16, 1925 in Atoka Wardville, OK to John Lester and Pearl M. (Snow) Robinson. She was united in marriage to her husband Wayne Purcell in March, 1944 in Hollis, OK; he preceded her in death in 2012. Ann was a resident of Dumas for over 65 years and held her license in Real Estate. She loved tending the garden and growing flowers. Ann stayed active playing softball and fishing and was a member of Bethel Assembly of God. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be missed by all her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, she is also preceded in death by her parents; brother: Charles Gulledge; and sister: Imogene Robinson.
Ann is survived by her daughter: Donna Hayhurst and husband Jim of Dumas; sons: Rick Purcell and wife Diane of Elko, NV and Ron Purcell and wife Rose of San Antonio, TX; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
