Anna Virginia Murphy, 92 of Dumas passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 10 o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Brown Memorial Cemetery in Sunray with Rick Ball, officiating. Anna will be available for viewing on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the funeral home in Dumas from 2 o'clock in the afternoon until 8 o'clock in the evening. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.
Anna was born on February 16, 1932, in Arkansas to William Clifford and Alma (Hass) Romines. She was united in marriage to Stanley “Skip” Murphy on June 14, 1951, in Pocahontas, AR; he preceded her in death. Anna was an excellent seamstress who made all her children’s clothes when they were younger and was also very proud to sew both her daughters’ wedding dresses. She had worked at Grapevine Nursing Home, Grapevine Hospital and also at Wal Mart. Anna was a Christian lady and was a member of Stinnett Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and 5 brothers.
Anna is survived by her daughters: Deborah Ball and husband Rick of Stinnett, TX, Donna Jo Daniel of Dumas, TX; grandchildren: Dawn Packebush and husband Robbie of Dumas, TX, Stacy Scarborough and husband Craig of Hereford, TX, Alisha Springer and husband Justin of Cleburne, TX, and Monica Dworshak and husband Justin of Carrollton, TX; 9 great-grandchildren.
