Annie Ruth Stoughton

Annie Ruth Stoughton, 94 of Dumas passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019. Graveside Services are scheduled for 1 o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Northlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Kirk Watson, officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 o'clock to 7 o'clock in the evening on Tuesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Annie was born on June 26, 1924 in Hunt County, TX to S.A. and Effie (Shanks) Wright and was raised in White Rock. She married T.C. Robins in 1944 and to this marriage four children were born. Through life transitions, she would later marry James Albert Stoughton in 1965. Annie loved to fish and embroidery. She had been a member of the community for over 47 years and was of Methodist faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2000, step-daughter: Rebecca White; and 3 great-grandchildren. Annie is survived by her children: Ronnie Robins and wife Kay of Fritch, David Robins and wife Jerri of Amarillo, Nina Beth Robins and Christine Lopez of Amarillo, Mark Robins of Dumas; step-children: James A. Stoughton, Jr. and wife Rita of Amarillo and George Thomas Stoughton and wife Debbie of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
