Antonio "Tony" Trinidad Jr., 69 of Dumas, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. The funeral service will be conducted at 10 oclock in the morning on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Johnny Widener, pastor of the church, officiating. Cremation will follow the service. The family will receive friends from 6 oclock until 8 oclock in the evening on Thursday at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Tony was born on February 25, 1950 in Houston TX to Antonio Sr. and Prudencia (Garcia) Trinidad. He attended school and graduated from McArthur High School. He moved to Dumas in 1974 and began employment with Diamond Shamrock as a lab tech where he worked for over 36 years until his retirement. Tony enjoyed camping, fishing and woodworking. He had a unique and distinguishable laugh that went along with a wonderful sense of humor. He was a very honest man with whom one should be prepared to hear the hard truth if you asked for his opinion. Tony was a member of the Bible Baptist Church and really enjoyed studying the bible, particularly bible prophecy. His greatest love was for his family that affectionately called him "papa".
Tony was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Johnny Garcia Trinidad; granddaughter: Mliss Lambert Trinidad.
Tony is survived by his wife, Karen, of the home; five children, 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; brother, Louis Trinidad and sister, Lydia Trinidad.
