April Michele Washington

April Michele Washington, 30 of Dumas, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on Friday, December 2, 2011 at Temple Baptist Church in Dumas. Rev. Jay McGaughy, pastor of the church will be officiating. Interment will follow in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. April was born on November 21, 1981 in Dumas, Texas to Keven and Belinda Irvin. She grew up in Dumas and graduated from Dumas High School, and went on to graduate from Arlington Baptist College. She was united in marriage to Anson Washington on August 18, 2007 in Dumas. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. April was a beloved daughter and a loving and devoted wife and mother. She loved God and her church, and actively served them both. She started working at the church in her teens, and she was very involved with the Missions. April was dearly loved by everyone who knew her. She had a special gift of making people feel good about themselves. Her legacy will live on in all of the lives that she touched. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Ozetta Love. April is survived by her husband, Anson of the home her daughter, Aaliyah Washington parents, Keven and Belinda Irvin of Dumas one brother, Kris Irvin and wife Nanette of Arlington her grandmother, Gayle Funk of Amarillo and her father motherin law, Delmer and Cynthia Washington of Dumas. The family suggests memorials be to Temple Baptist Church, Mission Fund, 311 N. Maddox, Dumas, TX 79029. The family will be at 1407 Twichell in Dumas.
