Ayda Alba, 59 of Dumas, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2012. The Rosary will be said at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, April 9, 2012 at Sts. Peter Paul Catholic Church in Dumas. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Sts. Peter Paul Catholic Church, with Father Maria Joseph Pudhota as celebrant. Interment will take place at a later date at Walsh, Colorado. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Ayda was born on October 15, 1952 in Sterling City, Texas to Fred and Anita Gaitan Molina. She graduated from high school in Walsh, Colorado, and went on to attend college at Emporia VoTech. She was united in marriage to Johnny Alba on January 8, 1972 in Springfield, Colorado. They have shared their life together in the Dumas community for twentytwo years. Ayda was employed as a medical assistant. She was a member of Sts. Peter Paul Catholic Church. Ayda was very devoted to her family, and she loved spending time with them. She dearly loved her sons and her grandchildren. She liked to travel and enjoyed taking trips with her sisters. One of her favorite times of the year was the Christmas season. Ayda enjoyed collecting nutcrackers. She was artistic, and she loved to draw. She also enjoyed music, singing and working crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Anita Molina, and two sisters, Alice Gonzales and Adela Williams. Ayda is survived by her husband Johnny of the home two sons, Nicholas Alba and wife Dona and Zachary Alba and fianc Amber, all of Dumas two sisters, Angie Molina of Tyler and Molly Hutches of Dumas two brothers, Fred Molina and wife Jana of Greely, CO, and Joe Molina and wife Sharon of Dumas granddaughters, Brittany and Alyssa Alba of Dumas stepgrandchildren, Darren, Nathan, Dallan, Kynlee and Slade and numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312, or to the American Foundation for the Blind, 2 Penn Plaza, Suite 1102 New York, NY 10121. The family will be at 10822 Lena Lane in Dumas.
