Bernice Craigmiles, 89, of Dumas, died Monday, September 3, 2007, in Dumas. Services will be held Thursday, September 6, 2007, at 10:30 AM in Morrison Memorial Chapel with Wayne Norrell, longtime family friend, officiating and Art Lynch, pastor of First Street Church of Christ, assisting. Burial will follow in Dumas Cemetery. Mrs. Craigmiles was born September 22, 1917, in Pleasant Hill, Illinois to Harold and Alta Gill Foster. On November 7, 1935, she married E.T. Bud Craigmiles in Carrolton, Illinois. She had been a resident of Moore County since 1955 and was a homemaker and worked at the Memorial Hospital gift shop for a span of 10 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, E. T. Bud Craigmiles on May 30, 1997; one great grandson, William Craigmiles and two brothers. Survivors include: one son, Terry Craigmiles and wife, Peggy, of Dumas; two daughters, Linda Dawson and husband, Gene of Dumas and Midge Harruff and husband, Lynn, of Dalhart; three sisters, Genevieve Roland and Maybelle Epley of Hannibal, Missouri and Maude Connor of Las Vegas, Nevada; one brother, Tommy Foster of Rockmart, Georgia; nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. The family will be at 206 Pine in Dumas and requests memorials to Memorial Hospice, 224 E 2nd, Dumas, TX 79029.
