Bill Jameson

Bill Jameson, 67, of Dumas, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 o'clock in the morning Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Howe officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from 6 o'clock until 8 o'clock in the evening. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Bill was born on December 28, 1948 to William Thomas and Louise Amos Jameson in Dumas, TX. He was a musician and a phenomenal guitar player; he was even able to play a twelve string guitar. Bill loved fishing, hunting and camping. One of his favorite hobbies was being a ham operator. He was a loving son, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends. Bill is preceded in death by his father: William Thomas Jameson; sister: Judy Ann; great grandmother: Essie Amos and nephew: Randy Haire. Bill is survived by his sons: Kelly Jameson of Ft. Worth, TX and William Jameson of Amarillo, TX; daughter: Jamie Wheeler and husband Don Oakley of Dumas, TX; grandchildren: Hunter, Lindsay, Madelyn, Justice and Jodie; mother: Louise Jameson of Dumas, TX; nephew: Bobbie Haire of Dumas, TX; niece: LaDonna Wells and husband Doyle of Ft. Worth, TX.; special friends: Kenneth Henson and Wayne Evanson.
