Bill W. Warren, 74 of Dumas passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011. Family visitation will be from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at the funeral home. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday June 1, 2011 at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Brad Foster, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating, assisted by Howard Patton. Interment will follow in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Bill was born May 7, 1937 to Wade and Leona Owens Warren in Crosby County. He was reared and educated in Floydada and graduated from Floydada High School. He was united in marriage on March 15, 1957 to Ann Cline in Canadian. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from 1955 until 1961. Bill had worked as the Director of Plant Operations and EMS at Memorial Hospital in Dumas for over 25 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Bill had many interests and hobbies. He coached Peewee football for over 20 years and was still referred to by many people as Coach Warren. Bill loved to golf, fly remote control airplanes, fish, and hunt. Bill was also a pilot and he loved to fly. The thing that he lived for the most though, was his children and grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, father in law Rev. Vernon Cline and a sister, Elizabeth. Surviving to honor his memory are his wife of over 54 years Ann, of the home sons, Robert Warren and wife Rena of Dumas, Eldon Warren and wife Brenda of Burlington NC, Darrel Warren and wife Cara of Florence one daughter Rhonda Warren and Mitchell Moore of Dumas two sisters Betty Ritchey and husband Fred of Longview and Martha Galloway and husband Donnie of Plainview grandchildren, Dustin Warren and wife Angela, Jennifer Warren, Nick Warren, Sarah Warren, Chris Warren, Dannie Warren, Kaylee Warren, Brittney Spruell, and Mackenzie Vaughan, and his mother in law Lucille Cline of Slaton. The family suggests memorials be made to The American Cancer Society, 403 Pear, Dumas TX 79029. The family will be at 422 S Porter.
