Billie was born December 24, 1932 in Ravia, OK to Elmer and Kathryn (Selby) Gasaway. After high school, she married Raymond Brown at Zofness Camp in Moore County. They raised their family in Dumas where she worked for Continental Telephone for 17 years. Billie enjoyed quilting and sewing with friends and she was a member of the local Red Hatters Society. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dumas and one of her favorite activities was to travel, especially with the church, and she would find an odd rock from all the locations to label and remember her travels. One of Billies greatest achievements took over ten years to complete and was her Cathedral Window quilt. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her husband Raymond, Billie is also preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her sons: Tommy Brown and wife Shelly of Clovis, NM, Dwight Brown of Dumas; daughter: Linda Lawson and husband John of Dallas, TX; sister: Judy Herron of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
The family requests with heartfelt gratitude that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to a charity of your choice.
