Billie Pate, 80, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2009 in Richmond, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Dumas Cemetery with Rev. Brad Foster, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Billie Pate was born December 7, 1928 in Rhome, Texas to Claude and Beulah Haynes. On May 6, 1949 she married Dale Pate in Hobbs, NM. He preceded her in death in 1992. She was a homemaker and had been a resident of Dumas since 1976.
She was preceded in death by a brother, A.C.Haynes; four sisters, Faye Johnson, Yvonne Berg, Dorothy Hamilton and Patsy Preston.
Survivors include; sons, Billy Pate and wife, Sheryl of Lincoln, NE, David Pate and wife, Brenda of May, TX, Tim Pate and Todd Pate and wife, Stacey all of Dumas; daughters, Mary Friemel of Rosenberg, TX, Janice Venuto and husband, Erm of Phenix City, AL, Christy Schroeder and husband, Dave of Richmond, TX; sisters, Betty Snodgrass of Odessa, TX, Martha Ann Smith of Hobbs, NM; grandchildren, Tina, Kathy, Jennifer, Christie, Lisa, Pashence, Erica, William, Brandon, Andy, Curtis, Brian, Brandon, Cory, Zack and Devin; and 21 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
