Billie Ruth Taylor

Billie Ruth Taylor, 84, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2009 in Amarillo. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 10, 2009 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Darrell Wait, pastor of First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Billie Ruth Taylor was born June 8, 1925 in Childress, Texas to Thomas Price and Carrie Anne Roberts. On July 19, 1957 she married James W. Taylor in Stratford. She worked for Phillips Petroleum in the administration offices from 1950 until her retirement in 1982. She served as church secretary for 5 years and sang in the church choir. Billie Ruth had been a resident of Dumas and Moore County since 1950 and was a member of First Christian Church. Survivors include; her husband, James; numerous nieces and nephews including Larry D. Roberts of Amarillo; and many friends. The family suggests memorials be to the American Legion Post 224, 814 Normandy, Dumas, TX 79029.
