Billy Don Brown 64 passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2008 in Dumas, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Northlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Gary Gumfory, pastor of the First Christian Church of Gruver officiating. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 AM at First Christian Church of Dumas with Rev. Darrell Wait, pastor of the church officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Billy Don was born February 19, 1944 in Dumas, Texas to L.S. and Wanda Brown. He graduated from Dumas High School with the class of 1962. While in school he was an active member of the Dumas FFA. On February 8, 1963 he married DiAnn McClellan in Dumas. He was engaged in farming until going to work for Dumas Co-Op where he was a truck driver for 30 years. He was a steer roper and an avid golfer. Billy Don was a lifetime resident of Dumas and a member of the First Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include; his wife DiAnn of the home, sons, Russell Brown and wife, Annetta of Milliken, Colo, and Brooks Brown and wife, Kim of Dumas; brother Cecil Brown and wife, Judy of Decatur; grandchildren, Justin Brown, Shayne and Dillon Johnson and Bali DiAnn Brown; many nieces and nephews and his faithful dog Buster Brown.
