Billy R. Frye, 87 of Dumas, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 11 o'clock in the morning on Friday, April 21, 2017 at Northlawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Johnny Widener, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Billy was born on December 10, 1929 in Wetumka, OK to Everett and Sadie (Hurley) Frye. He was a Dumas resident for at least 60 plus years coming from Borger. Billy retired from Phillips Petroleum Company after 35 years where he was an engine operator. He married Patti Douthitt April 17, 1978 in Clayton New Mexico. She never left his side. Billy was a loving, loyal man who always put his family first. His passion in life was fishing, camping, playing dominos, and baseball, especially the Texas Rangers, and the Chicago Cubs. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sons: Clyde and Michael Frye; great-granddaughter: Brittney Chervenka; three sisters: Doris June, Francis, and Avis Marie; and a brother: Gene Frye. Billy is survived by his wife, Patti of the home: sons: Jackie Starr of Dumas, Jerry Lombard and wife Jerri of Bentonville, AK, and Lloyd Lombard of Perryton; daughter: Diala K Bennion of Rigby, ID; brother; David Frye of CA; sisters: Freda Bridwell of Hereford, Maxine McNeil of Sacramento, CA, Faye Jay of Sterling, OK, and Joyce of Sacramento, CA; 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
