Billy Bob Marston

Billy Bob Marston, 72, of Dumas, died Tuesday, August 21, 2007, in Dumas. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 24, 2007, in First Christian Church with Rev. Darrell Wait, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Memorial Cemetery in Sunray with Flag Detail by American Legion Post 224 of Dumas. Mr. Marston was born May 23, 1935, in Ardmore, OK and had been a Dumas and Moore County resident since 1946. He graduated from Sunray High School in 1953 and attended Texas Tech until 1957 when he joined the Army. On June 29, 1970, he married Frankie Meeks in Clayton, NM. In 1997, he retired from Maxus Oil and Gas as Superintendent of Production with 40 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Almorine and Lawrence Lee Marston and one daughter, Joy Lynn Brown. Survivors include: his wife, Frankie of the home; one son, Brant Marston of Wichita Falls, TX; three daughters, Kim Martinez of Dumas, Tonya Salas of Amarillo and Deann Gladwell of Dallas, TX; and eight grandchildren, Jeremie, Krista, Russell, Coby, Kaili, MyKala, Brittney and Shalea. The family will be at 501 Robin Road in Dumas. The family requests memorials to First Baptist Church, PO Box 617, Dumas, TX 79029.
