BJay Burton, 37, of Sunray passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, June 7, 2020. Per his wishes, no services are scheduled at this time. Cremation is under the direction of Morrison Funeral Directors.
BJay was born August 8th, 1982 in Dumas, TX to Gil and Robin (King) Burton. He attended Dumas High School, graduating in 2001. After high school, BJay focused on his family both in Texas and Alabama. He loved travelling, and Las Vegas seemed to be his favorite "get away" location. His cherished pet chihuahua "Peanut" was always by his side. BJay was an avid coin collector and always on the lookout for that extra special, one of a kind, treasure. He was a good son, brother and uncle always finding time for his nephews. BJay was of the Baptist faith and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Curtis and Sybil King and his paternal grandparents: Robert and Billie Burton.
BJay is survived by his dad, Gil Burton of Sunray, TX; his mother: Robin Ruth King of Foley, AL; sisters: Brandi Burton of Billingsley, AL and Amy Burton of Sunray, TX; nephews: Shawn Burton of Foley, AL, Michael and Daniel Diehl both of Lubbock, TX
