Bob Gene Cripps

Bob Gene Cripps, 85 of Sunray, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 o’clock on Saturday morning December 14, 2024, at Sunray Methodist Church with Pastor Nate Carlson, officiating. He will be assisted by David Purl. Interment will follow at Brown Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Sunray on Friday from 5 o’clock to 7 o’clock in the evening. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Bob was born on September 1, 1939, in Sunray, TX to Claude and Jesse Mae (Musick) Cripps. He was united in marriage to the love of his life Patricia (Pat) Pendleton on August 18, 1961 and the couple made Sunray their home where they raised their children. Bob owned Bob Cripps Construction for over 20 years. He enjoyed remodeling, telling jokes and funny stories. He also loved listening to old country music and going to Branson, Missouri. His greatest hobby was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and following them in all their activities. He attended Sunray Methodist Church in Sunray. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Leon Cripps, Theodore Cripps, and Virgil Cripps.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Pat of the home; daughter: Leona Satterfield and husband Greg of Sunray, TX; son: W.C. Cripps and wife Lorie of Bushland, TX; grandchildren: Cody Satterfield and wife Andrea of Amarillo, TX, Kyla Purl and husband Alex of Sunray, TX, Blake Cripps and wife Kristen of Amarillo, TX, Brittney Cripps of Bushland, TX; great-grandchildren: Briggs Satterfield, Grady Satterfield, Crue Satterfield, Owen Purl, Hudson Purl, Noah Purl, Braegen Stroebel, and Palmer Jo Satterfield.
