Bobby Dan Parker, 81 of Dumas, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Matt Wolfington, pastor of St. Luke's United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Bobby was born on February 23, 1935 in Wellington, TX to R.T. and Laura Lee (Hudson) Parker. He was a resident of the community for many years and was employed by Moore County for over 20 years. He was united in marriage on March 14, 1961 to Neva Nell Bailey; she preceded him in death on February 21, 2015. Bobby enjoyed western swing and bluegrass music. He was a musician and played drums in a western swing band.
In addition to his wife, Neva Nell, he is preceded in death by his parents; and a sister: Janice Cleavland.
Bobby is survived by his sons: Bryan Hudson and wife Nona of Dumas and Mark Parker and wife Sandra of Lubbock; four nieces and five nephews; five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
