Bonnie Lee Getman

Bonnie Getman, 84 of Cactus, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 o’clock in the morning on Monday, November 22, 2021, at First Assembly of God with Pastor Damon Akins officiating. Burial will follow in Northlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends from 3 o’clock until 4 o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday at the funeral home.Bonnie was born on May 13, 1937, in Bower, OK to Clarence and Eliza (Baker) Grider. She grew up in New Mexico and graduated from Deming High School. She was united in marriage to Earl Getman on October 15, 1958, in Deming, NM and the couple moved to Cactus in 1962 where they made their home and raised their children. Bonnie was an excellent homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Dumas.Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl, and siblings, James, Jimmy, Josie, Mable, Joanne and Peggy.Bonnie is survived by her daughters: Earline Getman of Cactus and Tammie Nash of St. Joseph, OK; son: Rickey Getman and wife Delvia of Stratford, OK; grandchildren: Brandon Nash, Cynda Nash, Skylar Getman and Jaedyn Getman; great grandchildren: Lyli and Maddy Nash; brother: Thomas Grider of Arkansas; sisters: Rosetta Irby of Deming, NM and Beulah Powell of Oklahoma; along with several other extended family members.The family suggests with gratitude that memorials be made to First Assembly of God Church.
