Bruce Edman Melton

Bruce Edman Melton, 61, formerly of Dumas, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. Memorial services are scheduled for 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Seth Seale officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Bruce was born on May 31, 1956 in Carlsbad, NM to Kenneth and Joyce (Adkins) Melton. Bruce married Patsy on December 24, 2000 in Amarillo, TX. He was a diesel mechanic and loved working on old cars. He enjoyed taking great care of his yard and also loved barbecuing for his family and friends. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was of Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Dennis Melton. He is survived by his wife, Patsy, of the home; mother: Joyce Martin of Dumas; daughters: Kelly Duncan and husband Bradley of Amarillo and Annette Travis and Tim Colbert of Amarillo; son Christopher Melton of Amarillo; step-daughters: Rachel Salazar and husband Roman of Arizona and Jinda Rodriguez of Colorado; sisters: Tresa Ward and husband Billy of Weatherford, TX, Pat Kreutziger and husband Darryl of Dumas, Karen Neslage of Amarillo and Diane Stavlo and husband Dave of Amarillo; grandchildren: Mason, Kinley, Briona, Jaden, Baylee, Makayla, Damien, Raevyn and Cecilia.
