C. D. McKinney

C. D. McKinney, 84, passed away Friday, August 7, 2009 in Dumas. Memorial Services will be held at a later date at Turnersville Cemetery, Turnersville, TX. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. C. D. McKinney was born November 9, 1924 in Turnersville, Texas to Earl R. and Effie Irene McKinney. He served from 1943 to 1946 in the US Army during WWII. On August 1946 he married Judy Carroll at Turnersville. She preceded him in death on January 28, 2009. He worked for Diamond Shamrock in the Lab until his retirement in 1988. C.D. had been a resident of Dumas since 1954. Survivors include; son, Vic McKinney and wife, Lori of Tempe, AZ; daughter, Sherree Bartlett of Amarillo; brothers, Dorman McKinney of Houston, Bill McKinney of Rosenberg; sister Nelda Ramsey of Turnersville; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
