Carl Ernest Dretske

Carl Ernest Dretske, 69 of Stratford, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2015. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 9 o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Stratford Cemetery. A Memorial Service will follow at 11 o'clock at St. Paul Lutheran in Texhoma with Pastor John Wackler, pastor of the church, officiating. Arrangments are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors of Stratford. Carl was born on June 12, 1946 in Berlin, WI to Arnold and Ruth (Kretzmann) Dretske. He had been a resident of Stratford for over 38 years. Carl married Anna May Thrasher on June 17, 1967 in Poysippi, WI and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Texhoma. Carl had many interests; he loved to tinker, and work on old cars, but especially enjoyed riding motorcycles. Family and friends were also very important to Carl; he loved spending time with them. Carl will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents; stepmother: Della Dretske; two brothers: Jim Cutts and Mark Dretske. Carl is survived by his wife Anna, of the home; daughters: Ruth and Carla Dretske and Amy Barnhart and husband Bob all of Amarillo; son: Ted Dretske and wife Amanda of Stratford; grandchildren: Austin Everest and wife Shelby, Tyler Everest, Katie Barnhart, Rihana Reynero, Zariah Everest all of Amarillo; brothers and sisters: Dorothy Jodarski of Youngstown, AZ,Victor Dretske and wife Jean of Berlin, WI, Donald Dretske and wife Donn of Pine River, WI, Val Sonju and husband Al of FL, Susie Cutts of Berlin, WI, George Cutts and wife Karen of Wautoma, WI, Glenn Cutts and wife Diane of Ripon, WI, Mary Becker of Berlin, WI, John Dretske and wife Amy of Bloominton MN; brother-in-laws: Mike Stumpner and wife Donna of Weyauwega, WI and Fred Thrasher and wife Jackie of Mobeetie, TX; sister-in-laws: Roberta Sampsong of Enid, OK, Betty Cutts of Omro, WI, and Pat Thompson of Wild Rose WI.
