Carla Tafoya Robinett

Carla Tafoya Robinett, 71 of Sunray, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024. The family will receive friends from half past 5 o’clock until half past 7 o’clock in the evening on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. Graveside services will be held in Gateway to Heaven Cemetery in Albuquerque, NM. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Carla was born on October 27, 1952, in Roy, NM. She attended school in Roy and graduated from Roy High School. She later attended Highland University where she received her Bachelor of Education and later her Master of Education. She went to work for Dumas Independent School District and became the principal of Cactus Elementary School until she retired with over 20 years of service. Carla enjoyed playing heel and toe and watching Family Feud.

Carla is preceded in death by her mother, brothers, and sisters.

Carla is survived by her husband, Tom Robinett of Sunray, TX; son, Dr. Ron Ebell of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren: Arianny Ebell and Natalee Ebell; sister Bea Montoya of Albuquerque, NM and brother Joseph Tafoya of Albuquerque, NM along with nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
