Carmen Loza, 48 of Dumas, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. A Rosary will be recited at 5 oclock in the evening on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 10 oclock in the morning on Monday, November 23, 2020 at the Dumas Cemetery with Jessie Garcia officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Beeson Morrison Funeral Directors.
Carmen was born on February 18, 1971 in Dumas, TX to Jose Jesus and Maria Esther (Trinidad) Loza. She grew up in Dumas and graduated from Dumas High School. After graduation, she attended cosmetology school. Carmen worked for Happy State Bank in Dumas as a teller for many years. She enjoyed 80s music, baking her "famous" sugar cookies for family Christmas gatherings and making her lime green "Easter" jell-o. Carmen was an avid Disney collector, collecting everything Disney, but her greatest joy was her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Carmen was one of the sweetest people and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister: Kathy Loza, a brother: Jose Jesus Loza Jr., a nephew: Jeremiah B. Luna and her Godmother: Mary Trinidad.
Carmen is survived by her son: Eric Joe Loza and wife Jasmine; grandsons: Zayden and Javian Loza all of Dumas; sisters: Gloria Loza of Dumas and Julie Loza of Amarillo; brothers: Gabriel Loza of Dumas, Ray Robert Loza and wife Casey of Amarillo and Jimmy Loza of Dumas; and Godson: Haven Loza of Dumas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
