Carolyn Faye Eddy Savely, 80 of Dumas passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 oclock in the morning on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at the Church of The Nazarene. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 oclock to 8 oclock in the evening on Wednesday at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. Carolyn was born on October 21, 1940 in Tulsa, OK to Gerald and Juanita (Nuckolls) Eddy. She was a longtime member of the community. Carolyn attended Dumas High School then went on to receive her certificate in Cosmetology. She was a cosmetologist for 15 years and worked at Wal Mart for 26 years. Carolyn married her husband, Don Savely on October 12, 1972 in Dumas, TX; he preceded her in death in 1987. Family was always important to Carolyn. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carolyn especially loved the time she spent baking with her family. She also enjoyed shopping. Carolyn was a proud member of the Church of The Nazarene and will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Lisha Steele; son: Dalton Coffer; grandchildren: Cherri and Billy Joe Don; sisters: Elaine and Margaret Ellen. Carolyn is survived by her children: Dwayne Eddy and wife Janey of Dumas, TX, Brenda Reece and husband Benny of Dumas, TX, Donita Granado and husband Paul of Yukon, OK, Steven Savely and wife Belinda of Sabina, TX, Kevin Savely and wife Susan of Clayton, TX; grandchildren: Johnny, Randall, Braydon, Kristin, Gary, Shira, Colton, Shayla, Derrick, Dakota, hunter, Eric, and Alex; numerous great-grandchildren; niece: Julia Cruz; great-niece: Rosie Cruz.
