Carolyn Colene Foster, 61, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 26, at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Howe, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors
Carolyn Colene was born August 29, 1948 in Amarillo, Texas to Odelle and Colene McAvoy. She was a resident of Dumas all of her life and was a graduate of Dumas High School in 1966. She worked in the oil gas industry, and retired from Colorado Interstate Gas Company and then worked for Pioneer for many years. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie Foster in 1996 son, Tim Speaker in 1986 and daughter, Colene Speaker in 1997.
Survivors include son, Aaron Speaker and wife LaChelle of Katy, Texas daughter, Andrea Duby of Dumas parents, Odelle and Colene McAvoy of Dumas brother, Mark McAvoy and wife Kaye of Mesa, Arizona sister, Mary Catherall and husband Paul of Dumas grandchildren, Alexis Duby, William Duby, Chance Speaker and greatgrandchild, Jocelyn Speaker.
