Carolyn Sue Jameson

Carolyn Sue Jameson, 76 of Dumas passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Temple Baptist Church with Pastor Jesse Garcia, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 o’clock to 8 o’clock in the evening at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Carolyn was born on July 24, 1947, in Winnsboro, LA to Martin Allen and Annie Lenora (Leach) Guy.  A year later, the family moved to Dumas where Carolyn grew up and graduated from Dumas High School in 1963.  She later became a LVN in 1989 and in 1992 she earned her RN license that she kept active until 2019.  She worked for BSA and later Great Plains Nursing and Rehab until her retirement.  Carolyn was united in marriage to Jack Jameson on July 17, 1976, in Dumas, TX; the couple had just celebrated 46 years of marriage.  Carolyn was known for her pickles, salsa and especially her jellys.  She also loved to crochet and do crafts.  Carolyn woke up every morning with a purpose and knew what she would accomplish that day.  She loved to gamble and fish with her husband Jack.  Above all, Carolyn loved her family.  She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Vivian Christine Platt; sisters.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Jack of the home; daughters: Kelly Voelm and husband Mike of Amarillo, TX, Missy Garcia and husband Jesse of Denver City, TX, Tammy Frye and husband Kelly of Dumas, TX, Diane Godsey of Dennison, TX, Kay Johnson of Pottsboro, TX, Jamie Stevenson and husband Jimmy of Dalhart, TX; grandchildren: Jason, Bregan, Tyfani, David, Cryston, Macey, Jordon, Jada, Jesse, Dustin, Kasey, Taylor, Levi; 13 great-grandchildren.
