Casey Jay McKay

Casey Jay McKay, 36, of Dumas, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 1 o'clock in the afternoon on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Grady Burkhalter, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Casey was born on November 26, 1980 to Ray and Gwenda (Chambers) McKay. Casey grew up in Dumas and graduated from Dumas High School. Casey had several interests and talents. He loved gaming and was an accomplished artist, having one of his drawings published in a magazine. Casey was also an avid collector of Japanese swords and memorabilia and even learned to speak Japanese. He also loved his cats, Ying and Yang. He was of Christian faith and will be missed by all his friends and family. He is preceded in death by his father Ray; uncle: Don Curry; grandparents: Harold and Wanda McKay and Ernie Thomason. Casey is survived by his mother, Gwenda Ramey and husband Randy of Dumas; brother: Dustin McKay and wife Shelly of Fairfield, TX; sister: Jayda Ramey of Dumas; grandmother Nita Thomason of Dumas; several aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family members.
