Charles "Chuck" Mayer

Charles “Chuck” Mayer, 93 formerly of Dumas passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 10 o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Masonic Graveside Rites will be recited by members of Mason Lodge No. 1009. Arrangements under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Charles was born on March 31, 1930 in Denver, CO to Robert Karl and Ruth (Road) Mayer.  He moved to Dumas in 1952 where he, his brother and his father ran Bob Mayer and Sons Cattle Buying Company.  Charles enjoyed going to the casinos in Santa Fe with daughter and also enjoyed woodworking.  He attended First Christian Church and will be missed.  

He was preceded in death by his wives: Joanne and Rhonnie; parents; and brother: John Mayer. 

Charles is survived by his daughter: Pam King and husband Jerry of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren: William Terry and Robert Terry; sister: Roberta Curtis of Denver, CO.
