Charles C. Montgomery

Charles C. Montgomery, 71, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2009 in Dumas. Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at the Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Steve Swanson, pastor of the church officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors. Charles C. Montgomery was born December 18, 1937 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Calvin and Opal Montgomery. He was a graduate of Dumas High School and served in the US Army. He was a cowboy on the Tejon Ranch in California until his retirement. He moved to Dumas 5 years ago from Eufaula, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his wife, Verlene Montgomery. Survivors include; his sister, Ernestine Martin and husband Don of Dumas; nieces, Pam Shelledy, Criss Yon and husband, Phil; and his nephew, Kelly Martin. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity. The family will be at 109 Dallam in Dumas.
