Charlie Keys

Charlie Keys, 82, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2009 in Dumas. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Dumas Cemetery with Rev. Brad Foster, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Charlie Keys was born April 18, 1927 in Celina, Tennessee to Raymond John and Marie Key. On April 20, 1992 he married Pat Wright at Bullhead City, Arizona. He had worked for the City of Dumas until his retirement. Charlie had been a resident of Dumas since the late 1940s. He was preceded in death by his son David Keys. Survivors include; his wife Pat of the home; daughter, Goldie Dziuk of Dallas; son Bill J. Keys of Durant, OK; daughter, Alveta Ferguson and husband Lee of Portales, NM; son Garland Banes and wife, Rebecca of Plainview; daughter, Patricia Keys of Birmingham, AL; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild and expecting another. The family will be at 910 S. Birge in Dumas.
