Charlotte Adele Jennings Hampton

Charlotte Adele Jennings Hampton, 36 of Dumas, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Jay McGaughy, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will follow in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Charlotte was born on July 29, 1979 in Dumas TX, to Stephen and Janet (Irlbeck) Jennings. She grew up and attended school in Dumas where she graduated high school in 1996. She had a love for animals and showed livestock in FFA and where she placed second with her steer at the Houston Stock Show, and won Grand Champion with a Goat for her grandma at the Tri State Fair. She also loved to Rodeo. She married Kerry Hampton on August 29, 2008 in Dumas. She attended Grace Thru Faith and was of Christian faith. She was preceded in death by her father Stephen Jennings; paternal grandfather Olen Jennings and paternal grandmother Letha Jennings Romero. She is survived by her husband Kerry; sons: Harlon Eugene Hampton and Stephen William Hampton; mother: Janet Schnaufer and her husband Gary of Dumas; brother Stephen Keith Jennings and his daughter Alyssa Morgan Jennings of Amarillo; sister: Dusty Jennings Peek and husband Randy and their children Chase Peek, Bailey Hicks, Riley Peek, Camden Hicks all of Fritch; maternal grandmother Colleen Irlbeck of Dumas and maternal grandfather Cyril Irlbeck and wife Betty of Amarillo; numerous aunts, uncles, and many other extended family members.
