Lottie Waide 92 of Texline passed away Sunday, June 3, 2007 in Stratford, Texas. Graveside services will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday, June 9, 2007 at Texline Cemetery with Greg Waide, pastor of Church of Christ, Waukomis, OK, officiating.
Charlotte Lottie Waide was born May 12, 1915 in Alpine, Texas. On August 18, 1935 she married Lewis J. Waide who preceded her in death on February 5, 2005. She loved to cook, garden and raise chickens and always shared with family and friends. She worked beside Lewis to support their family, cooking for workers on the Kehoe farms and cafes in Texline. Lottie had fond memories of cooking for the students and teachers at the Texline schools. She loved her children and grandchildren and delighted in all their successes and accomplishments. She always put others needs before her own and was a caregiver to many people in her home town of Texline.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Oscar and J.A. Biggs; one sister Jean Milburn; and daughter-in-law, Clara Waide.
Survivors include: three daughters, Barbara Ann LaPerna and husband, Angelo of Conroe, Mona Kay Creech and husband, Don of Boerne, Peggy Sue Ray of Houston; four sons, James Johnson Waide of Hale Center, Gene Terry Waide and wife, Renee of Capitola, CA, Lewis Richard Rickey Waide and wife, Tenia of Otis Orchards, WA, Roy Dean Waide and wife, Donna of Dalhart; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
