Christine Chris Owens, 72, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2011. Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Dumas. Sam White, Pastor of North Plains Christian Church in Dumas will be officiating. Interment will follow in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Chris was born on July 2, 1939 in Lockwood, Missouri to Ralph and Alma Fesler. She married Harold Owens in March 1987 in Dumas. They shared their life together in the Dumas community.
Chris was employed as an LVN until her retirement. She touched the lives of everyone she cared for. She was very involved in the community, actively volunteering for both Memorial Hospice and Meals on Wheels. She was truly one of the few Angels here on earth. She was a member of North Plains Christian Church, where she actively gave of her time. She was the Lords servant to others. Chris was very devoted to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was dearly loved by her family and everyone that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Alma Fesler.
Chris is survived by her husband Harold of the home five daughters, Pam Farni and husband Danny of Dumas, Vickie Holt and husband Gary of Dumas, Sharlet Muskrat and husband Terry of Porum, Oklahoma, Gerrie Taylor and husband Steve of Dumas, and Terrie Owens of Kentucky one son, Rowdy Rhoades and wife Cindy of Dumas one sister, Maxine Chadwick and husband Stanley of Wilmer, Texas one brother, Bill Fesler and wife Theresa of Lampasas, Texas ten grandchildren seventeen greatgrandchildren and special friends, Bill and Joye Watson.

The family will be at 1006 E. 8th Street in Dumas.
