Cinnamon Marchelle Presley

Cinnamon Marchelle Presley, 33 of Dumas, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, after her courageous battle with cancer. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2 o\x92clock in the afternoon on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Cinnamon was born July 9, 1981 to Tonda Mahaffey in Dumas. She had worked for Nationwide Insurance. She loved music and this love lead her to be a rock band promoter in California where she was a member of The Plastics. Cinnamon was of Christian Faith. Though her life ended too soon, she will be dearly missed by her loving family and many friends. She is preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents: Lester and Genevieve Shields and paternal grandparents: Ed and Esther Mahaffey. Cinnamon is survived by her mother Tonda Mahaffey of Dumas; sister: Taeler VerWey of Dumas; grandparents: James and Nancy Mahaffey of Dumas; aunt: Taryn Mahaffey-Sanderson of Amarillo; step-dad: Toby VerWey of Canyon; cousins: Britton Sanderson, Amy Hudson, Kerri Gutierrez, Bobby Hudson; numerous other extended family members; and special friends in CA. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Childers Place for their exceptional care.
