Cleta Frances Dillard

Cleta Frances Dillard - 86 of Dumas passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2006 in Dalhart, Texas. Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 8, 2006 at 14th Street Church of Christ with Mr.Art Lynch officiating. Burial will be at Dumas Cemetery. Mrs. Dillard was born April 25, 1920 in Floyd County, Texas. On May 2,1937, she married J.T. Dillard who preceded her in death on January 10, 1980. She had been a resident of Dumas since 1944 moving to Dalhart in August, 2006. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of the 14th Street Church of Christ. Survivors include two sons: Jimmy R. Dillard and wife, Mary and Delbert A. Dillard and wife, Carla of Dumas; two brothers, Hubert Griffith of Plainview and Elmer Griffith of Lockney; sister, Dorothy Slaughter of Plainview; sister-in-law, Julie Griffith of Lockney; five grandchildren Jimmy, Robert, Deborah, Melissa, and Thomas and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Leonard Griffith and her husband. Memorials may be made to Coon Memorial Home, Memory Lane, 210 Texas Blvd., Dalhart, TX 79022. The family will be at 810 Normandy in Dumas.
