Cleta F Hutchinson

Cleta F. Hutchinson, 86 of Sunray passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Morrison Memorial Chapel in Dumas with Pastor Keith Hight, officiating. Interment will follow at Lane Memorial Cemetery. Cleta will be available for viewing from 4 o’clock to 8 o’clock in the evening on Wednesday at the funeral home in Sunray. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Cleta was born on November 19, 1937 in Wheeler, TX to Vera Boatman. She married Harlan Hutchinson on August 1, 1952 in Twitty, TX; he preceded her in death. They moved to Sunray in 1953 where they raised their family. Cleta was a beautician in her younger years and owned Hutch’s Hair Hut. She later became a minister of New Life Fellowship along with her husband Harlan. As an adolescent, she enjoyed softball, basketball and volleyball. 

In addition to her husband, Harlan, she was preceded in death by her mother, Vera, mother-in-law: Mae Hutchinson; granddaughter: Rebekkah Hutchinson; son-in-law: Richard Mann; brothers: Delbert Boatman and John Campbell; great grandson: Joshua Pfaff.

Cleta is survived by her children: Linda Head and husband Dwain of Farris, OK, Judy Horn and husband Rusty of Carlsbad, NM, Wayne “Pete” Hutchinson of Muldrow, OK, Darlene Mann of Sunray, TX, Nikki Miller of Nederland, TX; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and other extended family members.
