Clive Brownfield Lewis

Clive Brownfield Lewis, 92, passed away Monday, April 26, 2010. Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, April, 29, at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Howe, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating with Eastern Star rites. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Clive was born December 31, 1917, in Paducah, Texas to Clarence and Mary Brownfield. On May 12, 1940 she married JC Lewis at Crowell, Texas. He preceded her in death October 1, 1984. She was a homemaker and belonged to home demonstration clubs. She was a 50 year member, past matron and an endowed member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 653. She was a member of the Esther Sunday School Class. She was a volunteer for Moore County Hospital District and worked in the gift shop. She had been a resident of Dumas since 1952. Clive was a member of First Baptist Church where she volunteered with Bible School and Sunday school. She was also preceded in death by her son, James Jimmy Lewis February 1995. Survivors include sister, Alta Clark of Paducah brother, Leon Brownfield of Paducah granddaughter, Jodie Dee Novoa of Arlington. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
