Clyde Ray Harvey, 68 of Dumas, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2015. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Dumas Cemetery with Rev. Benny Craft, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas.
Clyde was born on March 29, 1947 in Dalhart, TX to Cicero and Nancy Harvey. He was a lifelong resident of Dumas and honorably served his country in the United States Navy. Clyde was united in marriage to Shirley Gardner in 1970 in Phoenix, AZ.
Clyde owned and operated a doughnut shop in Dumas. He was also a carpenter, welder, and built houses. Clyde enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and grilling. He was of Christian Faith and will be missed by his family and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Clyde is survived by his wife Shirley, of the home; sons: Tony White and wife Amber and Timmy White and wife JoAnn all of Dumas; brother: Wayne Harvey and wife Glenda of Ashland, KS; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Benny and Cathy Craft of Dallas; grandchildren: Ryder Ray, Karli, Kayla, and Christopher White.; and five great-grandchildren; nephew: Barry Harvey; niece: Brandy Harvey; and great-niece: Emily.
The family suggests memorials be to American Cancer Society, 403 Pear, Dumas, TX 79029.
The family will be at 802 Klein.
