Coleene 'Nana' Robinson, 91 of Dumas passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 1, 2016 in her own home surrounded by her family. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10 o'clock in the morning on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Jay McGaughy, pastor of the church officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Nana was born July 3, 1924 in Silverton, TX to Clara and Ector Bomar. She weighed 3lbs at birth and was not expected to live. Little did they know that the tiny tot would 91 years later leave such a legacy and touch so many lives with her kindness and love.
Nana met the love of her life, Herman (PePa) Robinson and they married December 15, 1941 in Clovis, NM. Together, they had three children: Jalane (Kat) McWilliams, Randall (Linda) Robinson, and Steven (Jill) Robinson. Nana worked most of her life. She worked at Bob Self Shoes and the stamp store in Dumas and stamp store in Borger.
She was an avid Dumas Demon Fan, going to watch them play every chance she had. Yard work and gardening were her loves of the outdoors. She was always mowing her own yard until last year. Nana's flowers were always the prettiest around. She provided many people around Dumas with her porter tomatoes. Nana was also a Cancer Survivor of 33 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Herman; her sister: Othell; son-in-law: Kat McWilliams.
In addition to her three children, she is survived by: 8 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren on the way.
She was the perfect example of love, kindness, and giving to anyone in need, never judging only loving.
The family requests memorials be made to Temple Baptist Church, 311 N Maddox, Dumas, TX 79029 or favorite charity.
