Cora Ellen Teel

Cora Ellen Teel, 69, of Sunray, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 o'clock in the morning on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at First Assembly of God Church in Sunray, TX with Tim Ramsey, associate pastor of Community Worship Center of Perryton, officiating, assisted by Royce Matthews, pastor of First Assembly of God Church in Sunray. Interment will follow in Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sunray. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas. Cora was born on November 10, 1947 in Sayre, OK to Percy Loyd and Gladys Fern (Sarrels) Harp. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Sunray. Cora was an excellent friend and everywhere she went, she was the light in the room. Cora enjoyed taking care of others and would often volunteer to sit with families during their time of need. She loved singing and playing gospel music on the piano. Cora had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren who called her 'Nonna'. One of her favorite pastimes was to play 20 questions with her family, especially her brother Thomas. Cora will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Cora is preceded in death by her parents. Cora is survived by her daughter: Kathy Grantz and husband Kyle of Perryton; brothers: Thomas Harp and Harry Harp and wife Jo Lynn all of Sunray; sisters: Gladys Ann Kennedy and Janie Kirkpatrick all of Durant, OK; grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Kara, Kaleb, and Kaiden Grantz of Perryton; and many numerous nieces and nephews. The family requests memorials be made to Caprock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 900 College Avenue, Borger, TX 79007.
